Operation Christmas Child

Live the Adventure is participating in Operation Christmas Child (OCC) again this year! This program, run by Samaritan’s Purse, partners with churches worldwide to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. After receiving shoebox gifts, many children are discipled through the Samaritan’s Purse Bible study course, “The Greatest Journey”, where they learn to become faithful followers of Christ and share their faith with others.

People of all ages can be involved in this simple, hands-on mission project, while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas. We encourage you to make this a family project! It is a wonderful opportunity to serve together as a family. Whether or not you have children in Live the Adventure, it’s a wonderful project to do with your teens, grandchildren, friends or neighbors.

Pick up an Operation Christmas Child information packet at the Children’s Ministry Check-In Desk for more detailed instructions. Completed boxes should be returned to the lobby display area no later than Sunday, November 13th. More information, including stories and videos about families who send boxes and the kids who receive them, can be found at www.samaritanspurse.org/occ.

Please contact Gail Hughson or Cheryl Alexander with any questions.
