Preparing for Worship – July 10th 2016

unstoppable artDear Church,

How does our work in ministry and outreach align with God’s plan and God’s timing? Join us this Sunday as we continue in our Unstoppable sermon series and Pastor Todd preaches from the book of Acts, chapter 1. ”

“…So when the apostles were with Jesus, they kept asking him, “Lord, has the time come for you to free Israel and restore our kingdom?”

He replied, “The Father alone has the authority to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere…”

Church, would you join us in prayer as we prepare to worship together this Sunday? Specifically, pray for the following: 1) For Pastor Todd as he prepares to preach of God’s Word, 2) For one divine encounter and opportunity to share the Gospel as Pastor Tom suggested last week (missed it? hear last week’s sermon here), 3) as always, for our pastoral search committee, consultant group, and for our next pastor, who may be preaching at another church this Sunday.

Children begin in the worship service until the greeting. We began a new tradition last Sunday by inviting children (accompanied with a parent) to come forward during the opening songs to play instruments and wave streamers and worship God with their voices and bodies. If you have young children, we encourage you to arrive early to check in your child and join the fun!
