The submissions are in and we have 48 artists represented and this years art exhibition with ArtsWayland. We are thrilled with the turnout and are excited to celebrate the good work of artists in our community and beyond!

On Friday, May 6th, at 6pm we will open our doors to the church and the Metro West community for our 2nd annual art exhibition. Last year, we had over 200 people, including many folks from Wayland town administration and local businesses, interacting with artists and connecting with each other, all strengthening our community and building relationships with our neighbors.

I am reminded of a verse from Genesis, where paradise, stocked full of resources for artistic endeavors, is described as “good.”

“A river watering the garden flowed from Eden from there it was separated into four headwaters. The name of the first is Piston; it winds through the entire land of Havilah, where there is gold. (The gold of that land is good; aromatic resin and onyx are also there.)” – Genesis 2:10-12

God is a God who creates, (indeed, Genesis 2:7 describes God getting his hands dirty – fashioning humans from the dust and breathing in life) and gives us resources to do the same. We are made in His image. When we create, we are reflecting the very character of God to the world. God gave us hands, eyes, and all sorts of materials to make things and be a blessing to others.

So join us as we celebrate the artists of our community (both here at TCC and in the larger Wayland community) on May 6th at 6pm. Meet an artist. Have an epiphany. Make a friend. Light food and drinks provided. The price is right – Free!

Some artwork will be for sale by artist and a portion of these sales may be donated to ArtsWayland. TCC is not involved in the sale of artwork.
